After a specialist such as an Oral Surgeon or a Periodontist places the implant into your mouth, a few months of healing and incorporation is needed for the implant to become part of your jaw.
When it is ready for the final step, Dr. Shah will then have a custom made crown for your implant that matches your other teeth. During the treatment planning stage, Dr. Shah will go over all the steps that need to be taken to reach this final step to restore your missing teeth.
Implant Retained Dentures
For patients who have existing removable dentures, or are treatment planned to have full dentures, a high quality of life can be achieved by having those dentures sit on 4 or 6 implants.
This is called an Implant retained denture or Over denture. Dr. Shah will work with you and the specialist who places the implant to determine if this is the right treatment for you.
Implant Fixed Bridge
When removable dentures are not an option or desire, there are cases where an Implant retained fixed bridge can be made. This requires placement of multiple implants, good strong bone structure and excellent hygiene.
A custom-made porcelain bridge is made which screws into the implants and is not removed.

Dr. Shah is a compassionate, caring, skilled dentist. I am not a fan of going to the dentist (any dentist), but Dr. Shah always takes the time to make me feel at ease. He recently gave my smile a much needed makeover with 5 porcelain crowns and I couldn't be happier.
Great service from the entire office. Scheduling is always a positive experience, cleanings are fast and effective and more-involved services are always conducted pain free. I also appreciate that Dr. Shah takes time to speak with you and set you at ease. Insurance and billing are always addressed in a timely manner. I would recommend this practice to everyone!
